Reports suggest Jogger to leave Ewood

There are reports surfacing in the papers this morning that a secret battle has been conducted behind closed doors to secure the Ewood exit of much maligned Rovers midfielder Keith Andrews.

Andrews has reportedly been told by the Ewood powers that be that he is down the pecking order at the club and with the imminent arrival at Ewood Park of Radosav Petrovic that his days in the Premier League are numbered.

That has left Championship clubs scrambling to get hold of the hottest property at Rovers that wears a number 17 shirt with his departure likely be sealed this week.

Leeds, Nottingham Forest and Ipswich Town have all enquired about his availability and it seems that Ipswich are winning the race with Andrews allegedly not interested in a move to dirty Leeds.

However it happens, it seems a good time for Andrews to secure himself a fresh start elsewhere – he has never had the backing of the Ewood faithful and in 3 years has yet to convince as a Premier League footballer.
