If it’s not Jordan Rhodes to Middlesbrough its Sunderland, however, a new one at least has seen Grant Hanley’s name (after Burnley last week) mentioned in connection with Crystal Palace??

Both would involve Blackburn Rovers exits though!!

I’ve not got a clue what’ll happen with Rhodes anymore, my honest opinion remains the same that if an offer of at least £14million comes in for the Scottish International he’ll be sold (even if it’s to Boro), however, speculation in The Sun that Sunderland are looking to offer £8million for him and also a player in exchange on a loan deal isn’t ever going to happen!!

After taking out the sell on clause to Huddersfield Town for JR we’ll be left out of pocket even if Danny Graham or Will Buckley came in on loan for the season with their wages covered in full by Sunderland, which has been claimed. I’m not sure how the Financial Fair Play (FFP) position would stand on a loan club covering wages beyond the £10,000 limit Blackburn have??

It doesn’t matter as we’ll now sell JR to The Barclays Premier League side for that amount, we’d need both players on loan from The Stadium of Light and at least £12million (bare minimum) for this to be even remotely considered. A never going to happen deal in my honest opinion!! The further speculation in The Sun that Hanley could go to Crystal Palace, maybe so??

Despite saying the Rovers skipper isn’t for sale if Palace (who tempted Scott Dann away from Ewood Park previously) would offer at least £4million for the Scottish International I’d be seriously tempted to take them up on their offer as such an amount wouldn’t leave us too far off exiting a transfer embargo would it?? It’s believed Alan Pardew sent scouts to watch Hanley in our defeat against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday afternoon.

In summary the JR speculation is completely rubbish!! GH, I’d be willing for Rovers to do business at around £4million, however, we’ll have to wait and see what comes of this.
