Speculation has come out today that Norwich City have offered £8million for Jordan Rhodes, however, this was turned down by Blackburn Rovers.

In response reports say that Rhodes has had a £10million prices tag “slapped on his head”, I do hope it wasn’t in permanent marker!!

It does seem as though these reports (which thoughts in the forum say originated from The Daily Mirror) aren’t exactly new though and this Norwich (a bitter rival of a former club Ipswich Town) approach was before they signed one (or both) of the strikers that they have this summer so I think we can rest a little easier and Huddersfield Town can stop thinking (I hope) that they’ll be getting a twenty percent cut of any transfer fee.

Rhodes has a good few years left on his contract at Ewood Park so as much as player power often gets a move I don’t think we’ve got to worry too much about being forced into a sale anytime soon and even then I’m not sure that £10million would be enough anyway, it shouldn’t be and if he’s going to move he’ll at least join a Premier League club, which we could quite conceivable be at the end of the 2014-2015 season anyway!!

What was a little concerning though (if there was any truth to it) was that the Scottish International has asked for a pay rise after this offer was rejected?? This is either mischief making in the tabloids or the striker (or his agent) is looking to force our hand or profit from speculated interest.
