Rovers keeper Paul Robinson is keeping his fingers crossed that he enjoys more luck in the English League Cup – a competition that has been kind to him over the years.

Robbo has won the trophy once, scored in the competition and has been a penalty shoot out hero over the years so it is no suprise he is optimistic ahead of the games against Villa that might seal a trip to Wembley.

Robbo, speaking to Rovers.co.uk said – “I enjoy the Carling Cup. I scored a goal in this competition, I won it in 2008 and this year I`ve ended up saving a couple of penalties.

“To get back to Wembley and to have the chance of winning it again would be very nice for me.

“We`re at home first, which isn`t really kind to us but at the end of the day, it`s a semi-final and a great chance to get to Wembley.

“It would be huge for us to get there. We managed to avoid the two Manchester teams in the draw but it`s going to be tough against Aston Villa.”

Lets hope that we do a little bit better against the Villa than the Reserves match yesterday!
