Blackburn Rovers striker Jason Roberts looks as though he will be fit to return for Rovers after the International break.

Roberts picked up a thigh injury in the Carling Cup win over Birmingham City in September and has been out ever since, but having played a part in training recently the International break should give him even more time to get up to speed and he should be available for selection against Fulham (a team that have tried, and failed, twice to sign him) at the end of the month.

Rovers manager Mark Hughes told the Lancashire Telegraph: “He joined in training on Saturday, and he did most of the session.

“Obviously it was just a light preparation session for the United game, but he’s back in the group and that’s the first time we’ve seen him in a while.

“Hopefully, by the end of the international break he’ll be an option again.

“He’s got a chance for Fulham if everything goes okay
.”

Roberts has become almost something of a forgotten man, but he gives Rovers a VERY different option and is still a player that I personally feel has a lot to offer Rovers so I look forward to his return soon.
