Roberts Out For Three Weeks

Blackburn Rovers striker Jason Roberts will face a spell out injured, however, this isn’t as bad as first feared.

Roberts was understood to have suffered a metatarsal injury that would’ve almost certainly ended his season, however, the 31-year-old has merely suffered a stress fracture of his foot that isn’t going to required surgery. The Grenada International will still be out for three-weeks though and this is a setback for us but it could be A LOT worse.

There is better news on Morten Gamst Pedersen though as the Norwegian could be back from his calf strain (after treatment in Norway) in time to face Liverpool at Anfield this weekend?

If only we had Matty Derbyshire at the moment, how useful (valuable even) could he be proving now? As it is Derbyshire continues to bang the goals in for Olympiakos during his loan spell with the Greek side, and I’m starting to become more and more concerned that Derbs won’t be coming back to Ewood Park!!!
