Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Paul Robinson is hoping to be in between the posts this weekend for the Derby game against Bolton.

‘England’s Number One’ (great confidence boosting chant by the way Rovers fans) is back in training after recovering from a calf injury picked up against Everton in the Carling Cup.

Speaking to Rovers official site, Paul said – ‘It has been a difficult one for me as I’ve not been used to being injured, but in the last few days I’ve been back in training, the injury has responded well to treatment.

‘It was frustrating for me as I was just hitting form again, I just felt as though my game was starting to come together. I feel that the Blackburn fans have still got a lot more to see from me and I was just starting to get settled and enjoy it so the injury couldn’t have come at a worst time really.

‘It is difficult to watch your team playing when you are not involved, but Brownie came in and did reasonably well, it was nice for him to get a couple of games as he’s not played much during the time he’s been here.’

I personally feel that Brown can be a bit peeved if he is dropped this weekend as he has done nothing wrong in the 2 games he has played… yes I am including getting assaulted by Nemanja Vidic as well.

However, this battle for the number.1 jersey is hotting up. The more competition the better!
