Rochina Exits Stage Left

Ruben Rochina’s time as a Blackburn Rovers player is finally over after his Ewood Park exit was confirmed earlier this week.

The twenty-three-year-old had undergone a medical with Granada last weekend and a deal was apparently agreed, however, it wasn’t until Tuesday evening that confirmation came from Rovers that the Spaniard had returned to his homeland to sign a four-year contract.

Scoring 11 goals in 54 appearances isn’t really a bad return is it, however, those appearances were spread over three-and-a-half-years so it’s obvious that he wasn’t ever really what you’d call a regular and spent the end of the past two seasons back in La Liga on loan.

A recent Vital Blackburn poll saw 57% thinking that Rochina would stay with Rovers this season and that would be a good thing!! We’re wrong though with the 25% who thought he wouldn’t be at Ewood and that would be a bad thing right, the remaining 18% felt that he’d leave on loan in January again even if he had stay!!

The current poll is asking for opinions on the 2014-2015 season opener against Cardiff City to kick off the 2014-2015 season, with three options of course given so do get a vote in.

Rochina is a talented footballer, however, it wasn’t meant to be for him at Ewood was it but I’ll wish him well for the future.
