Norwich manager Glenn Roeder is trying to end Maceo Rigters’ Blackburn hell and bring the Dutch striker back to Carrow Road from Blackburn, this time permanently.

Rovers have stated recently they are willing to listen to offers for the former Dutch Under-21 international, who was brought in by Roeder on a short term loan deal towards the back end of the last campaign.

However, his time with the mid table Canaries was cut short by a hamstring injury he picked up during a match against Bristol City after coming on as a sub.

The 24-year-old forward signed for Blackburn on a four-year deal from NAC Breda last summer. Despite the hype that came with his arrival he failed to take his limited chances, a terrible game against Coventry in the FA Cup springs to mind, and became 5th choice striker.

Blackburn however would want to recoup their original outlay for the striker, they paid £350,000 for him last summer after an impressive stint at the U-21 UEFA Championships for Holland.

His time could well be up at Ewood Park.
