Blackburn forward Roque Santa Cruz has been constantly linked with a move away from Ewood this summer by journalists everywhere. But if the narrow minded and ignorant people actually listened to the man himself… he is actually very happy here.

Santa was in inspired form last season, scoring 19 Premier League goals.

Arsenal, Spurs, Man City and Man United have all been linked with a move for the bargain of the 2007/2008 season, however the 26-year-old is only thinking of repeating his goalscoring exploits for Rovers next season.

Speaking to a Paraguayan News Channel in his homeland, Roque said, “Many said my transfer to a bigger club was impending, but I am used to this now and my attention is focused on Blackburn,”.

“I am happy for the great season that I had, the important goals I scored for a small club.’

“The plan is to have a better season with Blackburn.”

Before anyone comes in going la la la, small club and the usual tripe about how he is motivated to go elsewhere, let me repeat what i normally say….

If Rovers don’t want him to leave, he will stay and Roque will be pleased to stay. And score another sackful for the Blue and White army next season…. ROLL ON.
