Jerome Rothen has fueled specualtion that he will be moving to the greatest team in the world by declaring he will leave PSG.

Jerome has got the ball rolling byt alking to Sky Sports and declaring – ‘My love for PSG will always be there. I love this club and wanted to finish my career here, that was a dream for me.

‘For me, the people running the club don’t like me, so there is no point being here because they don’t want me here. So i will move.

‘I have contacts to move, going abroad is something I am thinking seriously about.’

This sounds like a goer to me because Rovers need players in his position (central midfield and right wing) and he has the skill to add quality to the first XI.

Anyone got any free minutes so that Sam can give France a call?

  • Would be a superb signing if we could pull it off. We need to start offloading some players though don’t we as JW wants to cut the wage bill a tad.

  • Well he seems to play in the French league where the wages arent that massive unless you are like really top draw so would he really cost much in wages?

  • has anyone seen him play lately?? I remember him as a good left winger in his younger days but think he plays more central now ala Beckham…. is he wot we need?? i dont think he is, not at 31 – Big Sam says he’s looking for younger, dynamic players- sorry Rothen aint one of those, experience yes but other than that

  • if the price is right he cnt be any worse than what we have left in centre midfield, but dnt be suprised if gamst is deployed as a central player next season, he has two good feet, and good vision and as a winger he really dnt have the pace

  • not a bad shout there Glen, never really thought of Morton in the middle but as u say, 2 good feet, vision, great freekick and no pace…..something for Big Sam to think about – still dont reckon Rothen is the player we need, Adam Johnson for Boro i would plump for if we needed an exciting left winger, really have a liking for him as a player…..

  • Morten actually played centrally in pre season under Ince and apparently very good so I dont know why he got switched back onto the left. The only question mark about MGP in the middle though would be is he tough enough to play there?

  • I can tell you he would not be a worthwhile signing as my brother is a PSG fan and knows Rothen very well.Morten is clearly better
