Rovers have tonight appointed two new board members to the club board to strengthen what is a pretty weak line up on a day to day club level.

Vineeth Rao and Simon Hunt have been appointed with immediate effect after a few weeks speculation of where the club would be headed.

The move comes off the back of a difficult summer where Rovers have struggled in the transfer market and also in some areas of communication.

The Rovers official website has announced – ‘Joining the Ewood Park board are Vineeth Rao, a close family friend of the club owners, and Simon Hunt, a former professional footballer with experience in management, scouting and sporting director roles at clubs home and abroad.’

  • Thank god we’re starting to get some more members on the board – we’re looking a bit light up top! (like on the pitch)

  • Shame Vineeth isn’t a patch on John Williams.

Asks my advice. I take the time to type a constructive response with solid advice and he can’t be assed to reply or say thankyou…

  • Good that we’ve got two more bodies in, but are they up to it? Sounds like a distinct lack of grace from Vineeth, Tombo.
