Rovers are in for Greening

The Daily Mirror are under the impression that Rovers are on the cusp of securing the services of Jonathan Greening.

Greening has played for Man United, West Brom and Fulham but since his very successful stint in the Midlands his move to West London has not what was expected.

Greening has been told by new Fulham boss Mark Hughes that he is ‘surplus to requirements’ in true Championship Manager style and Allardyce has seemingly moved quickly to add to his Rovers squad.

I can see the attraction – Greening is versatile and before his move to Fulham was considered a very handy player.

If this happens expect the Sam Allardyce rescues players career headlines to make an appearance all over the UK.
