Rovers clear out but nobody makes entrance

On a very disappointing day for Blackburn Rovers there was zero incomings at the club as Big Sam (or more likely the board) decided to crack on with what we have at the club and decided against making a new signing.

Hundreds of strikers have been linked with Blackburn this transfer window but when the clock struck 6 there was no sign of anybody arriving at the door.

The only business conducted was geared towards reducing the wage bill at Ewood Park and if there is a saving grace then it looks like that has been done.

Lars Jacobsen’s move to West Ham, initially on loan with the option to make the deal permanent, is just waiting to be ratified by the Premier League as Rovers have trimmed the number of potential right backs at the club from four to three.

Maceo Rigters, he of the massive bum and hiding capabilities, has moved to Willem II on loan and Zurab has also completed a loan happy day by moving to Reading.

But the talking point will be the lack of a striker signing and the fact that a certain large striker with a dodgy radar in Jason Roberts is still at the club.
