Rovers last night announced the £2 million capture of Spurs defender Pascal Chimbonda.

‘Fruit Pascal’ as he should now really be known as in a dream world is eligible for the game against those lovely Hammers and their well behaved fans at the weekend.

He hs signed on a TWO year deal with the option to extend and will compensate for the loss of now Aston Villa left back Stephen Warnock.

  • Good deal. Very cheap for a player of his calibre, and he still has a few years left of professional football in him. If it hadn’t been for Corluka, Hutton and Naughton, he would be obvious first choice at us:p Don’t understand why we had 4 rb’s and no naturla LW. Good luck Pascal!

  • He will prove a very good buy and not a bad price, Can play Cb as well as Rb but not too comfortable at LB, Im surprised other clubs didn’t come in for him and i wish him all the best

  • I am happy with the signing as he does fit the bargain description that we need. And he is straight into the squad for tomorrow…

  • I think he will cover the full back roles in the main……as an absolute desperate measure at CB….the guy is a good player from what iv seen, and the Spurs fans have echoed this!!
