Rovers Fighting Spirit

Blackburn Rovers might have rode their luck on Saturday Evening against Chelsea at times but the fighting spirit (no, not that kind of fighting!!!) earned them a point.

Chelsea scored a perfectly legal goal that should have won the match, but this was wrongly ruled out for offside, and Chelsea might have had the better of the chances but Rovers should have had a penalty despite John Terry’s barking in Morten Gamst Pedersen’s face claiming he had dived as a result of John Obi Mikel’s clumsy challenge, so it could have been a Rovers win in the end.

Thanks to several wonderful saves from Brad Friedel (one in the first half especially) and the battling qualities we ALL know Rovers have, with them ALL willing to put their bodies on the line for the cause as Christopher Samba did (when he took a boot to the head from Andrij Shevchenko as he bravely cleared, thankfully with him being OK) these factors all played their part in earning Rovers their point and stretching the unbeaten record to an impressive 15 matches!!!
