With Right Back a problem for Blackburn Rovers, it looks like Sam Allardyce has found his man, this time, in Everton’s Lars Jacobsen.

The Danish International is available on a free transfer, with Everton not extending his contract after an injury plagued spell at the Toffees.

The Dane is expected to undertake a medical this week before finalising his transfer….

Sam Allardyce might have a gem in his hands here, if Lars can keep himself fit….

  • we shall see how this one pans out in the next few days or so……….any word over there on Rovers sniffing on a Man City Forward?, they currently have 6 or 7, and with the possible signing of Eto and Tevez, might be some quality available…..

  • yes Katie that budget sure is a sh**ter. The ambition of the club is to continue to punch above its weight. I should also point out that Everton DIDNT beat rovers last season in 3 attempts. oh dear

  • Katie – think back to when Everton signed him on a FREE from Hamburg……are u an Everton fan?? cos the words ‘POT, KETTLE BLACK’ come to mind….Remind me of another club that is reputed to never have much money???

  • Bys i think “katie” is mischief making…..i vote that from this point NO ONE mentions her name or replies to her posts…She’ll soon get bored n return to playing her Bajo on the front porch!!! Don’t be too hard on her, if she’s from Burnley uv gotta remember that the gene pool is down to about 11 now for the whole town!!!!

  • Yes finally a Dane, yes yes yes. When he is fit he does a very solid job, and can also make some good crosses in the opposite half. A solid team player I would say – a bit like Warnock, no star but also no fool.
He is a on the danish national team when he is fit. Good signing by Sam…. cheers

  • I have been told by a little pigeon that Katie is a Spurs fan – what are the chances? An ignorant, arrogant Spurs fan? God Im as shocked as you!

  • another freebie signed and sealed, but another with a terrible injury record, if rovers can take a chance on him then they should take one on owen

  • He’s a decent player, not great but if he was Hibbert wouldn’t have kept him out the side and he’d still be here. On a free a good signing, and I wouldn’t have minded him sticking around for back up. He’s quite good going forward has a good cross on him, but defensively he just backs off and doesn’t put a foot in.
