A bit of lunchtime news for us all as it is being reported by all the reliable sources that Rovers have made a bid for Fulham’s Andy Johnson.

Andy is out of contract in the summer and has stalled on a new deal at Craven Cottage so is seen as a good value purchase – if Rovers can pull it off.

The transfer window has been a shambles so far for our boys at Ewood Park with nobody coming in and reports of player unrest in the current camp widespread.

But strangely no-one appears to be heading out of the door imminently and yet Rovers have made a move for someone which means one of two things…

1) Venky’s are investing.

2) Someone is likely to be heading out soon.

And for those of you that haven’t been paying attention here is a small clue as to which one it is… It’s not number 1.

No word yet on the size of the bid and whether it will be accepted but rest assured a bid is in. Now we wait.
