It has been confirmed to Vital Blackburn that British Eurosport will show live coverage of Blackburn Rovers’ final three UEFA Cup group E matches.

I went on to check my e-mail to find that I have been contacted by a member of British Eurosport’s staff. The e-mail read as follows:

British Eurosport will be providing LIVE coverage of Blackburn’s three remaining UEFA Cup group stage matches against Basel, Feyenoord and Nancy.

Live coverage of Blackburn’s match against Basel at Ewood Park begins at 7.45pm on 2nd November. British Eurosport will also have live coverage of Rovers’ tricky away tie against Dutch club Feyenoord on 23rd November and their final Group E match at home to Nancy on 13th December.

Blackburn v FC Basel – 2nd November
Feyenoord v Blackburn – 23rd November
Blackburn v Nancy – 13th December

I’d like to thank Eurosport for contacting me, but this isn’t the first time they have… They also approached Vital Blackburn in September to inform me that Rovers’ first round second leg UEFA Cup tie with Salzburg was to be screened live on the channel.

If an organisation such as Eurosport is contacting us it only backs up the thoughts that Vital Blackburn is gaining a reputation and indeed going in the right direction!

  • Superb news HDM. At least now we all know in advance what channel our matches are going to be on. It is great to see that we are establishing an understanding with such a well recognised channel too.

  • Yeah very pleasant surprise hearing from them. I wonder what the battle will be like for TV rights for our last 32 tie!!!

  • Its great news, however I just hope poor Tim and Mike get a different studio commentator…… They looked bored to tears? Not that i’m complaining hehe, cheers Eurosport…Well done Vit-burn!

  • I know exactly what you mean govtpros, I had to cringe several times when they were in the studio, I did feel for the presenter a little, maybe he was trying a little too hard? Newell isn’t the easiest to talk with at the best of times so that didn’t help! I’m sure Sherwood will be there again, he’s always got something to say!
