Vital Blackburn’s most recent poll asked, “Rovers Man of the Match vs. Everton?” Christopher Samba.

After another colossal performance for Rovers, with 44% of the vote Christopher “the Wall” Samba took the Man of the Match Award for the match with Everton on Sunday, pretty convincingly really.

Only Roque Santa Cruz (31%) even came close, after that it was David Dunn with 14%, with the others claiming 3%’s, 1%’s, and even 0% in Benni McCarthy’s case.

So in summary
B Friedel – 3%
B Emerton – 1%
A Ooijer – 1%
C Samba – 44%
S Warnock – 1%
D Bentley – 1%
R Savage – 1%
D Dunn – 14%
M G Pedersen – 3%
B McCarthy – 0%
R Santa Cruz – 31%

The current poll, suggested by IsraeliRover is asking, “Which area is Blackburn’s weakest?

  • I think it was MORE than fair that the Wall picked up this Man of the Match Award, his stock is rising ALL the time!
I’m liking the latest poll IsraeliRover, nice one, should be interesting.

  • Easy choice, Samba was magnificent. Not surprised Benni didn’t get any votes, he was a bit anonymous. Hope he improves quickly, seems a bit at sea…

  • Intresting poll… on weakest area – i have put Full Backs but specifically the right – i’m not sure Emerton is really firing yet. As far a CM is concerned then i really don;t think that is a problem but I would love to see Stevie Reid in front of the back four with Dunny taking a more forward role… iot means dropping Robbie and using Tugay as a sub / cup game specialist, but that’s just my opinion!

  • cant argue with that at all although like roversman says… bit suprised that Dunny didnt get a bit more of the share…

  • Samba- perhaps Rovers bargain of the decade? I watched Hertha Berlin playing, and besides Simuncic- I can’t really see why they let him go…..

  • another great buy from the bargain bin!! its nice knowing we dont have to rely on the likes of andy todd anymore!!

he was man of the match in most of the papers to!
