Things just got tough for the Rovers in the Carling Cup as today’s third round draw has seen the Ewood side paired with Aston Villa.
In a repeat of last year’s classic semi final which Villa won 7-4 on aggregate, Rovers will have a chance at revenge – but will feel a tad disappointed to have been drawn away.
But the match is a one off on the road to Wembley and it is a chance to knock a direct rival out.
