Rovers have started something a potentially substantial January clearout with two players moving out of the club.

Rovers have bid farewell to right back Bruno Ribeiro, who did show signs of early promise after an anonymous start to life at Ewood Park, but has since fallen back into obscurity and has now completed a free transfer switch back to Brazil by joining Clube Atletico Linense – where he spent the final half of last season on loan.

Rovers striker Jordan Slew has also moved on, but only on loan, as he has moved to Scotland to join Scottish PL side Ross County until the end of the season.

Slew was signed under former boss Steve Kean for £1m but has done nothing… absolutely nothing of note since his switch.
