Rovers Not Giving Marshall Away

Ben Marshall continues to be linked with a Blackburn exit this month but if he is to leave Ewood Park it’ll be on the clubs terms with Wolves’ early efforts to sign him knocked back.

Marshall – it would seem – has decided he isn’t going to sign a new contract and the 25 year old will therefore be sold if the right offer does come in this month.

However, what would be ‘the right offer’ for the midfielder though? According to the Mirror the initial offer from Wolves falls well short of our valuation of Marshall that’s in excess of £1m – our Championship rivals seem to value him at round that mark.

Paul Lambert’s departure from Ewood didn’t come about on the best of terms with that same report claiming Venky’s would be even more reluctant to offload Marshall below market value to the Wolves boss.

Should Midlands based newspaper Express & Star be right Blackburn value Marshall at £2m at least.
