Rovers nudge Holloway onto short list

Ian Holloway is the latest name to be linked with the Rovers job after it emerged he is on the list of manager’s Rovers would like to approach.

The chances of luring Holloway from his current position at rivals Blackpool seems unlikely given the good bond between manager and the Seasiders but both The Sunday People and The Lancashire Telegraph are reporting that he is a popular choice amongst certain parts of the Ewood Park boardroom to be the clubs new boss.

But at this stage the odds of Holloway swapping sides of Lancashire appear a bit far fetched.

Holloway is quoted on Vital Blackpool (prior to the link to Rovers surfaced)as saying – ‘I’m realistic about where we are, but I want to keep moving forward, I’m even more determined to be a success.

‘There’s something special about this club, it seems to just fit me perfectly.

‘I’ll keep going, I believe in what we are doing, and we won’t stop working hard. If we keep doing that, who knows where we’ll end up.’

Interesting one, but with the chances of us landing Tim Sherwood diminishing we may have to look elsewhere.
