Blackburn are reportedly trying to rush through a deal for Fenerbahce`s Dani Guiza.

Rovers boss Sam Allardyce (as Bom Bom reported in the forums) is apparently excited about the prospect of acquiring the hitman, who has Champions League experience and would cost £5 million.

That is more than Allardyce was told he could pay for a striker this summer by the Blackburn board but it seems like a gamble that Big Sam would be interested in pursuing.

This could be offset by selling some other fringe players.

  • I can see the headlines now, when he scores a hat-trick against Man Yoo; “Diamond Guiza” I say go for it, he seems to know where the goal is, and we desperately need that!

  • I would be all for this, I’ve always rated this guy didn’t ever think that he would be linked to us mind. Go for the gamble Sam!!

  • Think we can get more for 5 million personally, and i think 5 mill at this stage is well wide of the mark, we have already said we aint goit much cash and cant see the current owners wanting to part with 5 mill if the club is up for sale as it would be dead money

  • 5 million is big money for a cash strapped club like us. Craig Bellamy on a season long loan in view of a permanent deal will be a better option. We don’t have the funds or wages for Bellamy now, but when the takeover finally concludes after the window close, we can go for Bellamy permanent.
