Can Blackburn Rovers finally secure a first win of the 2015/2016 SkyBet Championship season against Charlton Athletic at Ewood Park this afternoon??

This is going to be the aim and Gary Bowyer (after two difficult matches, on paper, that brought one point) against a Charlton side that’s lost the last two Championship matches with Blackburn in need of the points as we’ve got a run of very difficult (on paper once again anyway!!) coming up!!

Rovers have won the last four meetings with Charlton, including an FA Cup meeting with The Addicks and Jordon Rhodes scored twice against them in each of the League wins last season, with the Scottish International starting to find his goalscoring form again the same again wouldn’t be turned down.

Gary Bowyer’s going to have to go into this without Tommy Spurr, which isn’t surprising after the concussion he suffered at Queens Park Rangers.

Lee Williamson could be recalled now he’s fit, for what he’ll be worth!! Chris Brown and Jason Lowe aren’t going to be involved.

Charlton Manager Guy Luzon is expected to keep faith with struggling Simon Makienok and goalkeeper Nick Pope, who made a mistake it The Addick defeat to Huddersfield on Tuesday evening with former French International Alou Diarra set to be involved.

Rovers aren’t not creating chances, we’re doing enough of this we’re just not taking them and conceding too many sloppy goals too. Amazingly Craig Conway’s created almost thirty chances alone already!!

If we have chances again this afternoon at Ewood (and take them) I feel Rovers will win 3-1 to get the season going.
