Blackburn Rovers are back in SkyBet Championship action on Tuesday evening with Queens Park Rangers coming to Ewood Park.

I’m not sure if the FA Cup third round match against Newport County not going ahead is a good or bad thing for Blackburn?? No upset (which might’ve happened) didn’t take place against the League Two side, however, it also meant the chance of a morale boosting win was also missed!!

Rovers haven’t lost in the last nine matches against QPR in all competitions (with five won, the other four drawn) with the chances of a win improving if we can score a first half goal as they’ve only scored once in the last fourteen matches but also haven’t conceded either.

Elliott Bennett should come in for his Rovers debut after his signing from Norwich City recently but Marcus Olsson (illness or is he leaving??) could be doubtful with Nathan Delfouneso, Danny Guthrie and Fode Koita all injured.

QPR goalkeeper Rob Green has been ill (however, he’s also one that speculation says could be leaving??) and could sit out with Charlie Austin missing, which isn’t a bad thing.

I’d not expect too many goals in this match but I don’t want us to become the first side that Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink can lead to a win over, having failed to win in his seven matches in charge so far.

It’ll be a prime time for Jordan Rhodes to improve on his run of just one goal in ten matches against QPR and few goals for Rovers of late as it is!! I’ll go for a 1-0 Rovers win.
