Blackburn Rovers are at Ewood Park this evening for the next SkyBet Championship match with Rotherham United the visiting team as Paul Lambert seeks his first home win.

Lambert’s still unbeaten since his appointment (having won at Preston North End and Bristol City with a draw at Ewood Park against Sheffield Wednesday) hopefully tonight’s the night for Blackburn!!

With eleven wins from the last thirteen League matches at Ewood against Rotherham confidence should be high enough as it is, however, with Rovers on a good run of form (unbeaten in the last six-matches) a win tonight would make it the best unbeaten run (started under Gary Bowyer remember) since May extending it to seven.

Blackburn do have fitness concerns over Corry Evans and West Ham United loanee Doneil Henry (not too bad though in either case) with young defender Darragh Lenihan also having to prove he’s fit enough to be involved if needed. Skipper Grant Hanley should be fine.

Rotherham have doubt of their own (they’ve used thirty players already this season!!) over Danny Ward and former Republic of Ireland International Stephen Kelly. Joe Mattock is said to be fit to return for The Millers.

If (I’ve said it before but will say it again!!) Rovers are serious about a push for the play off in the second half of the season the good form started under Lambert needs to continue with little room for error.

We shouldn’t (and wouldn’t) take Rotherham lightly, however, this is a match we’ve got to win and I’ve got this feeling tonight will be the night with a 3-1 win for Rovers!!
