Rovers are having to pull off a move no-one could have predicted a few days back, with the club looking to tie up a permanent deal for their currently on loan Turkish international.

Colin Kazim-Richards is currently on loan at Ewood Park on a season long arrangement with a view to buy, but with Turkish side Bursaspor looking to twist Galatasaray’s arm into a sale much to Rovers dislike, the club is moving to ensure that Kaz’s stay at Rovers is a more permanent arrangement.

A fee has been agreed between Galatasaray and Rovers for the striker to sign transfer terms with the club, with… wait for it… everyone waiting on Venky’s to consent to personal terms being agreed.

The value of the fee Galatasaray would receive is believed to be around the £500,000 mark and Kaz is rumoured to be in line for a four year deal.

Once this one is wrapped up it appears our rabble are set for a whirlwind end to the transfer window with players coming in and the likes of David Goodwillie, Diogo Rosado and more than likely Paul Robinson leaving at the sort of speed you’d expect out of Usain Bolt.

Strap yourself in.
