Blackburn Rovers are finally willing to let the frustrated Jason Roberts go, apparently.

Roberts had found his lack of first-team football at Ewood Park increasingly frustrating and he handed in a transfer request earlier in the season, however, this was rejected. In recent weeks he has started alongside Roque Santa Cruz but with his chances likely to be limited in the future it is understood that Mark Hughes will finally let him leave in the summer.

If JR is allowed to leave then the newspaper reports are claiming that Derby County (managed by his former Wigan Athletic boss Paul Jewell) have him top of there list as the striker to spearhead their Championship campaign next season and will hand over £2 million for his services, Sunderland are also being mentioned.
