Blackburn Rovers have Leon Best back in the building after his season-long loan with Derby County was terminated six-month early!!

Best (who has absolutely no future at Ewood Park) made the move to Derby in August with this season-long loan made with “the view” to a permanent move to the iPro Stadium at the end of the summer, however, Derby haven’t been impressed with him and his failure to impress has seen Steve McClaren decide that he doesn’t need the twenty-eight-year-old who is now back with Rovers.

McClaren told BBC Radio Derby: “He has not had many chances and has not really taken them when he’s had them, but his attitude has been great.

“He has been an absolute gem – a model professional. His attitude has been great every day. He has just been unfortunate that he has been behind Chris Martin, who has been incredible for the first half of the season.

The Republic of Ireland International only made eighteen first-team appearances for Derby during the first half of the season, of those only three were matches he started with all of The Championship appearances he made (fifteen of them) coming from the substitutes bench!!

Unless we can agree a deal with him to end his contract early or find another mug (I mean club) to take him on we’ll have to put up with him for the remainder of the season now!!
