Rovers rocked by SWINE FLU

Big, big news for a Monday morning but the ilness that kept Dave Dunn and Chris Samba out of the 5-0 defeat at Chelsea was a bout of swine flu – and there are fears they will have passed on the virus as well.

Allardyce had warned that some of the Rovers stars other than the infected two had displayed ‘flu like symptoms’ and there are fears that the disease may spread enought to postpone the Peterbrough Carling Cup tie, due to be played tomorrow.

This is obviously a massive blow as it can often take a while to shake off the swine flu disease and if Dunny and Samba had been in contact with other first team members we could have a Rover epidemic on our hands!

Not what we need at all at the moment, but it may go some way to explain the lacklustre performance of some on Saturday evening.
