Rovers Sherwood approach rejected

Blackburn have been refused permission to speak to Tottenham’s Tim Sherwood over the vacant managerial role at Ewood Park.

Sherwood is one of a few names on the shortlist to succeed Steve Kean but have been rebuffed in their attempts as Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is a known fan of Sherwood in his current role as assistant first team coach.

Rovers have made some glances in Sherwood’s direction before and this constitutes the second time they have been told to do one by Spurs over the matter.
