Blackburn Rovers have added Charlton Athletic’s former Celtic striker Tony Watt to the squad with him joining on loan with a fee already agreed to sign him permanently in the summer.

Basically Watt’s coming to Ewood Park on a try before you buy basis with him becoming the fifth signing Paul Lambert’s made since becoming Blackburn manager and is probably, in my honest opinion, the best one he’s made!!

Cardiff City would’ve signed the twenty two year old former Scottish Under-21 International after his loan if they weren’t hit with a transfer ban for breaching the FFP rulings with their loss our gain (hopefully) with a possible debut coming against Oxford United in the FA Cup this afternoon.

Fode Koita leaving has seen him (with Watt and others that have been signed) replaced adequately I’d say, however, concerns still surround Jordan Rhodes with this arrival only likely to increase the speculation??
