Blackburn Rovers target Kris Boyd is attracting plenty of interest from England and there is also interest in Turkey.

Boyd is being linked with Rovers as well as Birmingham City, Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League and Kayserispor, Ankaragucu and Bursaspor in Turkey.

However, Kayserispor are understood to be the favourites to sign the 26-year-old and have held talks with the striker. Former Glasgow Rangers striker Shota Arveladze manages the Turkish club and he hopes that his personal approach will help convinced Boyd to go to Turkey.

Arveladze told the Sunday Mail: “I have had conversations with Kris and we will talk some more.

“I’m hopeful he will decide to come here but I know he has other options.

“I really want him to join me. I’ve made this a priority and hope the personal touch I’ve added to the move will work in my favour.

“Some coaches prefer to let the club president do the talking but I think the coach should always speak to the player and outline plans.

The Scottish Premier League’s all-time record goal scorer is going to leave Glasgow Rangers this summer (by the looks of it) and as much as we might have hoped that his destination would be Ewood Park this doesn’t look as though it’ll happen now??
