Rovers transfer round up

Rovers are poised for a busy few days it seems as the push for striker reinforcements continues.

The big questions are being asked over a potential bid for Jordan Rhodes with the Daily Mail even going as far as to suggest a fee had been agreed between Huddersfield and our boys but we understand that is jumping the gun a little bit.

Work is going on in the background with regards to formulating a bid but at present no official Rovers bid has been lodged for the in demand hit man with Fulham having a bid turned outright yesterday.

Elsewhere some sources were reporting that rovers were set for a loan move for Norwich striker James Vaughan as they look to cover for Leon Best’s injury. This again however is wide of the mark with the former Everton player not considered a priority.

Some potential outgoings have come to light in the last 24 hours though with the club transfer listing five players.

Amine Linganzi, Jordan Slew, Nick Blackman, Radosav Petrovic and (sadly) Morten Gamst Pedersen have more or less been told they are surplus to requirements at the club.

The first four are likely to cause no major shock but for Morten it could be a sad end for a player who has spent over 8 years at the club and served it well despite some iffy performances in recent years.
