Rovers have increased their Jordan Rhodes bid as they’ve hit Huddersfield with a third bid for their star striker.

Rhodes has been a wanted man at Ewood Park for the last few weeks but as yet Huddersfield have resisted the urge to grant Rhodes the chance to speak to Rovers – something the player is known to be keen on.

The latest bid is believed to be £6.5m with a substantial amount up front, as an added twist Rhodes was not included in Huddersfield’s defeat to Cardiff last night – Simon Grayson says through injury, others suggest not.

The plot thickens.
