The current Rovers board have today assured fans that the club will comprehensively do due diligence on Mr Ahsan Ali Syed and for that matter any potential new owner – to protect the club.

Fears have again be raised after further 5live investigation’s showed that Mr Ali Syed may have UK debts from his time living in the country… something that is unproven but is still a concern.

Mr Ali Syed has reportedly finished his due diligence of club accounts but it is now time for the Walkers and the trustees to do their bit for Blackburn Rovers by checking out financial records and proof of funds before approving any takeover.

A Rovers spokesman spoke to Sky Sports and said – ‘The club has been for sale for some time and, for it to remain competitive in one of the world`s toughest sporting competitions, we accept that new investment is required.

“Equally, the trustees of the late Jack Walker, who are being professionally advised, and the club`s board of directors are acutely aware of the responsibility involved in passing the club to a new owner.

“We are custodians of a club with a proud heritage dating back to 1875 – a founder member of the Football League.”

Here’s hoping that this works out for the best. We are all keen for a takeover to happen but the worst thing that could happen is for the WRONG person to be handle the control pad of this great club.

Ahsan Ali Syed could still be very right for Blackburn Rovers but I have a feeling we are about to stop the mud slinging and find out for real if this guy will be the man.

P.S – Sorry guys, I have been in London this weekend and have been away from my laptop so apologies for the lack of articles. I am back in full swing now so for those that thought they were rid of me they can think again 😉
