Club captain Ryan Nelsen is glad that the first ten games of the season are out of the way, knowing that they were likely to e the toughest set of fixtures of the whole campaign!

Rovers have taken in Man United, Chelsea and Arsenal (All away) as well as tough games against Sunderland (again away) and Man City, Villa (home).

Rovers currently sit in 18th in the table, but the table does tell something of a false positio due to the games played and the fact Rovers have at least one game in hand on their main rivals.

Ryan Nelsen, speaking to rovers.co.uk said -‘We knew the first ten games of the season were going to be very difficult,’

‘We’ve got ten points and it was probably the minimum points that we needed to get.

‘So now we are looking forward to the next ten games, we want to go our and obviously do a lot better.

‘The first ten games were really tough, we can now look forward to the next 28!’

I personally am not too concerned that we sit where we sit in the League as its only after ten games and the lads have put in some better displays than the points actually suggests.

But lets start with a big performance at Ewood on Saturday as we start our climb up the League.
