Blackburn Rovers have today (in a stunning development) sacked Sam Allardyce!!

Allardyce and his assistant Neil McDonald have both left Ewood Park with immediate effect as a statement this afternoon confirmed (a statement that Mr Mikey has already covered).

Tensions were understood to be running a little high between the new Rovers owners and Big Sam since the takeover and the level of money that would’ve been available to him during the January transfer window is understood to be a major bone of content, however, the timing of his departure is still surprising isn’t it??

Why didn’t we make this move a week earlier as we could’ve got that master tactician Alan Pardew (I’m being sarcastic here!!) First-team coach Steve Kean has been handed the reins for the immediate future as the search for a new Rovers manager begins!! Has this manager already been sounded out though, as if they weren’t why has such a move been made?!

If the new owners are unhappy with the style of play that Big Sam was going with and would rather give money to a manager that they feel can attract better players than the former Bolton Wanderers and Newcastle United manager would and also bring them a more attractive style of play that will also bring results then it will prove that masterstroke, however, unless they’re planning on spending money in the January transfer window then the calibre of replacement isn’t going to be that high is it?! That would mean this proved a mistake as Big Sam hasn’t done a bad job at Ewood has he, and best of all he had the players on his side.

This move by Venky’s will prove to be a masterstroke or a major mistake, it’s just a matter of time before we find out which one it is.
