Rovers defender and all round total hero Michel Salgado has stated his desire to win a trophy with Blackburn and states that doing so would eclipse anything he achieved at Real Madrid.

Salgado signed a one year extension to his current Rovers deal and is happy with life in Blackburn.

Michel is in the Daily Express saying – “It`s more difficult winning the FA Cup with Blackburn than winning the Champions League with Real. If you play 10 years with Real you are going to have the chance to win a Champions League.

“But it`s more difficult to come here and try to raise a trophy. It would be a dream if we could do it and life is about chasing dreams.”

Without meaning to state the bleeding obvious, Salgado was keen to highlight the difference between Spain and England and the Spaniard believes England surpasses Spain in a lot of areas.

Michel continued – “The main difference is the weather between Spain and England but I don`t care about the weather”

“The lifestyle is so different in every regard – food, education, quality of life. Even the respect people show to each other and the security you feel. There are so many points I am really enjoying – especially for my family.

“When you come here you know it is not Madrid. The most important thing when you change country is that you have to realise that settling in that country is down to you.

“You have to get used to the new life. You don`t complain or think about the past. You have to enjoy every single day. Coming into the training ground, sharing jokes with your team-mates. Playing every weekend in the Premier League is like a present for me.

Young lads – read this, digest it, because this is what we like to call the right attitude.
