Sam Allardyce has sent his Blackburn squad on an adventure weekend off in an attempt for the team to start hitting the target again.

Sam is worried that Rovers are firing blanks in the crucial part of the season.

So he has taken them off to Scotland, where clay-pigeon shooting, putting golf and off-roading are all being done as the pressure is taken off in the lead up to Wigan at home on Sunday afternoon.

Some highlights of the trip are as follows* –

– Benni McCarthy missed 18 out of the 19 clay pigeons he shot, and whilst running back for additional ammo, he fell over through exhaustion.

– During the golf, Aaron Mokoena was thrown a golf ball to catch, he attempted to trap the ball with his his feet, but in doing so the ball slipped under his feet.

– Further attempts to trap the same golf ball by Keith Andrews, Morten Gamst Pedersen and Danny Simpson also proved fruitless.

– During the off road races, El Hadji Diouf got into a scuffle with a cop who pulled him up for speeding. When the cop touched Diouf on the shoulder, he hit the deck and asked for the cop to be booked. He escaped with a three match ban and a ticking off.
