Rovers defender Chris Samba has told French sporting publication L’Equipe that he wants a a change as he fears the club is not progressing at all.

The defender signed a new five year deal 12 months ago after he was told of Venky’s dream to build the club up but in that time period the club has regressed and Samba has spoken out that now is the time for him to move on.

Spurs and QPR are rumoured to be interested in the big Congo man but judging by his latest comments a return to France and PSG would suit.

Samba told L’Equipe – ‘Recently, mentally, it was difficult, I tried to keep my level of performance, but I feel it is time for me to change. The club does not change at all. I am resigned … ‘

‘I’ve always put the interests of the club before (his own). I invested a lot, I always tried to lead by example, but things have not gone as I had said. I hope people understand me’.

When asked about reported PSG interest Samba said – ‘For now, there is nothing concrete. In any case, it’s flattering, he says. The club has taken a different scale, it is not the PSG a few years ago. There’s Leonardo, Ancelotti, I’m sure they will bring great players ‘ .
