Samba comes out of the corner fighting

Chris Samba has been quoted on the back page of the Sun this morning with a big story of how he is dead set on a move to Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal side.

It’s all about the Champions League you see and how he couldn’t possibly be interested in staying at Blackburn when he can swan off to play for the France Under 19’s Select X1.

So that’s that then? If he wants off then there’s nothing we can do about it?

Well that would be true if the story released, you know, held any water whatsoever!

Samba has furiously denied such quotes were made and that the story had been spun in traditional tabloid fashion.

Samba wrote on his personal Twitter account – ‘The declarations about me are totally false – never said that.

‘I’m a Rovers player and will never mention other clubs – it’s disrespectful. Not happy right now.’

Club Reporter Lee Grooby even backed this up by writing on his twitter account – ‘I was there, I heard it all, Chris never mentioned any other clubs, the Sun just put their spin on Chris’s quotes’

Well done Fleet Street, sterling work as usual 😉
