The Chris Samba dispute could get worse before it gets better with Steve Kean admitting that the player is perfectly healthy and available to play but without a clear mind.
Samba chucked all the available toys at his disposal out of the pram in order to get a move back in January but it never materialised and the Guardian newspaper is even suggesting that the Rovers board could take legal action against Samba for a potential ‘breach of contract’.
Whether that holds any water is for someone far more intelligent than me to decide but Kean clarified that he wants a resolution and the sooner the better.
Kean told Sky Sports – ‘Without going too deep he’s fit and he’s available for selection but I’ve decided not to put him in the squad.
‘It’s a situation we’d like to get resolved as soon as possible because I think the way we are just now is not really helpful for anybody – us or him.
‘He’s one of our key defenders and you always miss any player when they’re not available.’
