Rovers captain seems to have been on s self improvement course over the last 48 hours as his latest musings are straight out of the personal analysis handbook.

Samba has been picking holes in the Rovers defensive strategy and believes success can be achieved by going back to basics.

Rovers have been fairly poor defensively in the last three games even though a clean sheet was achieved in the last outing against Newcastle.

Samba echoes these thoughts.

‘I am happy to have a clean sheet (against Newcastle) but not really satisfied with the way we defended’ Samba told rovers.co.uk

‘There was a lack of communication and covering each other. We need to get back to the simple stuff that made us so hard to beat.

‘From a solid defence we can build attacks and we need to organise better. We will build on this and try to get something more in the next game.’
