With your help Vital Blackburn has been trying to determine what have been the best and worst of the Blackburn Rovers 2009-2010 season.

The nominations are still be taken for other Awards, but the Vital Blackburn Awards for 2009-2010 continue to be dished out with the SAVE OF THE SEASON.

THE WINNER: Paul Robinson from Antonio Valencia v Manchester United.

When asked to simply leave the name of the opponent (and obviously who the save was from) that you felt saw a Rovers goalkeeper make the save of the season most felt that Robinson’s save against Manchester United should be the Award Winner! So congratulations to Robbo for making the save (one of many superb saves last season) against Manure, and to them (and Valencia) for playing their part.

This is what people had to say on this category, which can also be viewed by clicking here.

Mikey Delap said: “For me it was the last minute save from Robinson in the 2-1 win at Ewood.

We looked to have the game won but Robbo made sure with a cracking low save from James Collins.

My vote – James Collins, Ewood Park.

fransavarese said: “Like 23, I go for the Robbo one vs. Valencia. Quality.

LHrover said: “I’m gonna go different here and say Jason brown, he deserves a mention, he played quite well when called upon, not as good as Robbo, but he deserves recognition.

BomBom said: “Save of the season…not having Robbo on a guided tour of South African Benches and different types of wood splinters.

He can be at home, resting up for next season having a well earned break!

blackburnsean said: “Robbo against Bolton at home. The 1 on 1 save was very brave.

ITSALLROVER said: “Can’t remember too many we let in a few but I think Phil Jones stopped one on the line against Wolves, strange vote i know.

BomBom said: “Oh and case in point….

After watching Robert Green ‘Fûck Up’ for the opening goal this evening, I couldn’t help but think…..

Had it been Robbo, he wouldn’t have made that mistake.

The defence rests!

sasman said: “I’m going to go with one of Franco Di Santo’s many misses from 6 yards out, he saved the opposition, does that count? Lol.

FreidelNo.1 said: “I can’t actually think of many great saves this season – that’s not to say that there weren’t any.

Thanks for voting on this, however, please keep your votes coming in for these other Awards as there is still time to vote so click here for the list of categories and vote on the one(s) you want.

Next to be dished out will be the Award for the INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE OF THE SEASON so keep voting!!! click here
