With YOUR help Vital Blackburn has been trying to determine what have been the best and worst of the Blackburn Rovers 2008-2009 season.

The nominations are still be taken for other Awards, but the Vital Blackburn Awards for 2008-2009 continue to be dished out with the SAVE OF THE SEASON (formerly known as Friedel’s Save of the Season.)

THE WINNER: Paul Robinson v West Bromwich Albion.

When asked to simply leave the name of the opponent (and obviously who the save was from) that you felt saw a Rovers goalkeeper make the save of the season most felt that Robinson’s save against West Brom should be the Award Winner! So congratulations to Robbo for making the save (one of many superb saves during 2008-2009) against the Baggies, and to them for playing their part.

This is what people had to say on this category, which can also be viewed by clicking here.

I know this is hardly yonks a go but you will be hard pressed to see a better save from anyone all season.

Chris Brunt couldn’t of hit it any better and the reflexes couldn’t of been any faster!
