Saurin Shah has revealed that he had contact with Venky’s prior to them making a move for the club, he may have even been the man to bring Blackburn Rovers to the poultry giants attention.

Shah was the first man in this long, protracted affair to declare his desire to takeover Blackburn but has fallen by the way as first Ahsan Ali Syed and now the VH Group have barged passed him the queue.

But it has now emerged that Shah approached Venkys about a partnership which hasn’t materialised.

Shah may now look into legal action.

Shah spoke in the Lancashire Telegraph – “We`ve worked very hard to get all of the information about Blackburn Rovers in the first place.

“After getting all of the details Saurin presented us with the opportunity and we approached Venky`s with the idea of working with us.

“We thought we were working with Venky`s.

“It wasn`t only them we approached. We approached two or three other big companies and it was seen as a big opportunity.

“Blackburn Rovers needed money, proper money, and we thought ourselves and Venky`s could achieve that. We then read in the newspaper that Venky`s has made a deal with Blackburn Rovers.

“Maybe we are not very good on the legal side but on the moral ground we are very strong. We don`t want to fight. Our concern is Blackburn Rovers.

“We will look at it and see what we can do. This is life though.”

The only problem with this is that unless Shah has signed something with Venky’s or entered into a contractual understanding with them then he hasn’t got the proverbial leg to stand on.

This is merely a last ditch attempt to get some sort of recognition.

I still suspect that Venky’s are very much still on course to be the new owners.
