Jordan Rhodes has previously been linked with Sheffield Wednesday but if reports are correct our former Man United and Leicester winger Ben Marshall is one they’ve ‘enquired’ about recently.

Marshall, no stranger to Hillsborough as he had a loan spell with them from Stoke in the 2011/12 season, had an impressive season last time round and could be one of those that we would fear leaving Ewood Park during the summer as he’s often been linked with Championship rivals, including Derby last year.

Football League World has made claims that ‘sources’ have informed them Sheffield Wednesday have made an enquiry about the 23-year-old but this was rejected as he’s not for sale.

Gary Bowyer’s virtually admitted defeat in his efforts to keep Rhodes and his strike partner Rudy Gestede but if this report is correct we’re not looking to let Marshall leave Ewood Park for Sheffield Wednesday, who have money available after a Thai billionaire took over last season, or anyone else….

This stance seems strong at the moment but the question is will this remain the case all summer?
